Information Resource Center Window on America is the project of the Embassy of the United States of America, Public Affairs Section. The main purpose of this project is to promote mutual understanding between the United States of America and Ukraine, support every citizen irrespective of their social position, political believes, nationality or physical abilities with equal access to information through books, programs and other recourses. It was also established to provide up-to-date information on the United States and to augment the English-language collections of the host libraries. The opening was held in February 2005 on the base of Department of Documents in Foreign Languages. Since March 2013  Window on America Center is based in the Department of Computer Technology.

The Center promotes advocacy of Internet recourses, broadens opportunities of qualitative and operative serving of users’ educational, scientific and cultural requests.

Due to the work of the Center our library has original publications which were printed in the USA. There are also modern technical devices, which are in free access for all users, electronic database, access to the Internet and even educational games in our Center.

At present Window on America is the center of communication and American culture in our city. It is not only the place to study, but to spend free time usefully and with pleasure.
