English Speaking Club

Mykolaiv Window on America Center had the English Speaking Club оn the 4th of November.
Together with a leader, FLEX alumna Olga Ch. our visitors discussed the topic "Boundaries".
Our participant discussed the folloving questions:
- What are personal boundaries? Why are boundaries matter?;
- What are categories of boundaries?
- Is it difficult to tell "no" to people?;
- Do you try to "fix" things for other?;
- Do you recognize that everyone else has a right to his\her own thoughts, fellings, interests and opinions even if you are not comfortable with them?;
- Do you disregard your own intuition in favor of of wishes or other`s opinions?;
- Do you tell others what they should do, think or feel?;
- Do you have trouble making dicisions independently? 
24 participants took part  in the discussion.

  

  

Метафорична гра "Шосте чуття"

4 листопада у бібліотечному ресурсному центрі "Вікно в Америку" відбулася метафорична гра "Шосте чуття",  під час якої учасники навчилися чути свій внутрішній голос, розуміти почуття і бажання, виражати їх.
Гру провела сертифікований тренер Зо Кучерова.
Всього у грі взяли участь 9 чол.

English Class for Kids

Mykolaiv Window on America Center had the English Class for Kids on the 4th of November.

At the begining of the lesson children told about themselves and said each other hello. Than they repeated words and checked homework on this topic "Halloween".

After that they start to learn a new topic "Emotions". 
Children learned new words which dedicated to the topic and played interesting games".

Masha and Tatyana, students from Foreign Philology Department of Mykolaiv National Universsity named after V. Suchomlynskyi were leaders and 11 children 

took part in this lesson.

Halloween Party

Mykolaiv Window on America Center had a Halloween party on the 1st of Npvdember.

Participants of the event learned about the history of the holiday, reviewed and discussed a series of short videos about Halloween.

In addition, participants took part in an interesting quiz about the holiday, interactive games "Compose poem", "Guess the song", "Associations", etc.

Everyone  presented their costumes in English, and the winner for the best presentation received an incentive prize from the Center.
