Independence Day of the USA

On the 4th of July the Mykolaiv WoA had an event that was dedicated to the celebration of the Independence Day of the USA.

This event was organized by the city representative of the FLEX-program and our volunteer Eduarda Fediukova.

Our visitors watched a video with the speech of the US Ambassador in Ukraine, Marie Yovanovitch, where she congtatulated people with Independence Day 2017.

After that Eduarda showed a short video and told about way the US to Independence. Also she conducted a very interesting quize for two teams on the knowledge of different facts about the United States. The team, which won, got the presents from the Mykolaiv Window on America Center.

Moreover, our visitors took part in the сontest on the best presentation of their costumes (they were depicting different famous Americans, such as Minnie Mouse, Barbie, Cowboy, Soldier Jane, Leia Organa Solo, Audrey Hepburn  and Marilyn Monroe). Our winner aslo got the present from Mykolaiv Window on America Center.
