English Speaking Club!

Mykolaiv Window on America Center had the English Speaking Club  on the 12th of November. 
This club was dedicated to the Global Media and Information Literacy Week 2017.
Our leader was our volunteer Margarita T. and she together with all the visitors tried to find answers to the following questions:

- What is media literacy?

- How can we identify biases in news stories?
- What technieques are used to share a news feed?
- Why is it important to look at the sources of news in the media? What are the most reliable sources of news? Why did you select these sources?
- How do you define fake news? How can you help to stop sreading of fake news?
- What is critical thinking?
- What things can you do to determine the legitimacy of a news story?
- How do Media affect on people?
- Why is it imprtant to know the difference between facts and opinions in the news?
Our participants decided that we have to be able to analyze different information resources and choose an important information for us.
We had 22 participants.
