Mykolaiv Window on America Center had the English Class for Beginners on the 18th of January.
At the begining of the lesson students shared very interesting and
funy stories about their celebrations of the New Year and Christmas.
After that they watched and discussed a short video called "US Civil
Rights Leader Martin Luther King, Jr. Honored", read and translated
the text is about Martin Luther King. Martin Luther King, Jr. was an American leader of the civil rights movement in the 1960s. King is remembered for his non-violent protests against the unequal treatment of African-Americans. His actions led to equal rights laws for all people. After watching the film they had a short discussion about civil rights in the USA and Ukraine.
Also students wattched and discussed 2 short videos "Laughter yoga — a new trend?" and "Bobbing for babies".
At the end of the lesson they played games "Speed Words" and "Picture this".
