Mykolaiv Window on America Center had the English Class for Beginners on the 17th of January.
At the begining of the lesson students told very interesting and funy
stories about their celebrations of the New Year and Christmas.
Afret that they repeated rules of usage the Past Simple Tense and
played games "Around the World" anf "Memory game" and
read 3 poems for better memorization of irregular verbs.
Also they watched and discussed a short video called "US Civil
Rights Leader Martin Luther King, Jr. Honored".
Martin Luther King, Jr. was an American leader of the civil rights movement in the 1960s. King is remembered for his non-violent protests against the unequal treatment of African-Americans. His actions led to equal rights laws for all people. After watching the film they had a short discussion about civil rights in the USA and Ukraine.
