Discussion "Life without cheat notes"

Mykolaiv Window on America Center had a discussion about Academic integrity on the 15th of March.
Our topic was "Life without cheat notes" as a part of implementing the project of Embasy of the United States of America in Ukraine "Fundamentals of academic integrity and struggle against plagiarism".

The students learned about academic integrity and why it is important to have integrity as far as education. We discussed plagiarism and taught our students the importance of citation in academic writing. The students shared their thoughts about corruption in Ukrainian universities and how it affects quality of education and value of their degrees in Ukraine and abroad.

At the end of the event, all participants agreed that it is now extremely important to be academically honest, as it positively influences the overcoming of corruption in our country and shapes the good future of Ukrainians, especially young people.
