English Movie Club!

On the 30th of August at the Mykolaiv Window on America Center was the English Movie Club!
We were watching and discussing a movie is called "Cheaters".
This movie released in 2000 that chronicles the story of the 1994–1995 Steinmetz High School team that cheated in the United States Academic Decathlon (USAD). It is based on a true story. The movie was filmed in Toronto and Chicago.

Our leader was Warren D. (Canada) and we had  3 participants.

English Practice Class!

On the 30th of August at the Mykolaiv WoA was the English Practice Class for Beginners/Pre-Intermediate/Intermediate Students!

At the beginning of the class we were reading different poems in English by heart.

After that we watched and discussed two short video.

Also our students played "Wrong phone", "Guess what!", "Board Race" and "Crocodile".

Thomas R. was our leader and we had 12 participants.

English Mafia Party!

This year we are celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the U. S.- Ukraine Diplomatic Relations. Our Center supports this partnerships and offers lots of different events!

On the 29th of August Mykolaiv Window on America Center had English Mafia Party with our good American friend and volunteer Thomas R.

We had 8 participants!

English Speaking Club!

On the 27th of August at the Mykolaiv Window on America Center was the English Speaking Club!

Together with our leader, volunteer, FLEX alumna Olga Ch., we were speaking about "Intuition".
At the beginning of the meeting our participants gave a definition of intuition, the difference between intuition and instincts, intuition and knowledges. Also our participants discussed ways to develop intuition, feminine and masculine intuition. 

After that  played game "Two truths and a lie".
In addition, they watched and discussed several short videos.
The participants of speaking club agreed that the development of intuition is closely connected with the such personality things such: emotional attitudes, impartiality of decisions, ability to independent thinking.

There were 17 participants.

On the 23rd of August at the Mykolaiv WoA was the English Practice Class for Beginners/Pre-Intermediate/Intermediate Students!

English Mafia Party!

This year we are celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the U. S.- Ukraine Diplomatic Relations. Our Center supports this partnerships and offers lots of different events!

On the 22nd of August Mykolaiv Window on America Center had English Mafia Party with our good American friend and volunteer Thomas R.

We had 7 participants!

Презентація "Міжнародні програми обміну та вища освіта в США"

22 серпня у бібліотечному ресурсному центрі «Вікно в Америку» відбулася  презентація "Міжнародні програми обміну та вища освіта в США", яку провела старший радник Мережі EducationUSA Єлизавета Щепетильникова.

На початку зустрічі пані Єлизавета розповіла про послуги, які надає мережа та познайомила всіх присутніх з сайтом Мережі. Потім вона зосередилася на учнівських, бакалаврських та магістерських програмах для учнівської та студентської молоді, які підтримуються та фінансуються урядом США.в Україні. Також вона розповіла про можливості вибору та етапи вступу до американських університетів, отримання різних типів фінансової підтримки від них, особливості здачі стандартизованих тестів для вступу до коледжів та університетів.

У кінці зустрічі вона відповіла на численні запитання аудиторії.

Всього у заході взяли участь 36 осіб.
