English Class for Beginners!

Mykolaiv Window on America Center had the English Class for Beginners on the 31st of May. 

At the begining of the lesson our students told about summer plans and checked their hometask.

 After that they did a lot of grammar  execises in diference tenses and read and transleted a text

"Distance learning options changing to face of home schooling". Also they played in speed 

english.

English Game Session!

Window on America Center had the English Game Session the оn the 31st of May.
Our visitors played a lot of interesting games "Who I am?" and "Sarafan radio".
If you like practise in English and play game - its party for you!

English Movie Club!

Mykolaiv Window on America Center had the English Movie Club on the 30th of May.
Our visitors were watching  and discussing the movie "Spy" (2015).This movie about Susan Cooper (Melissa McCarthy) was an unassuming, deskbound CIA analyst, and the unsung hero behind the Agency's most dangerous missions. But when her partner (Jude Law) falls off the grid and another top agent (Jason Statham) is compromised, she volunteers to go deep undercover to infiltrate the world of a deadly arms dealer, and prevent a global disaster. A desk-bound CIA analyst volunteers to went undercover to infiltrate the world of a deadly arms dealer, and prevent diabolical global disaster.

English Class for Beginners!

Mykolaiv Window on America Center had the English Class for Beginners on the 30th of May.

At the begining of the lesson our students told  how they spent weekend and

checked their hometasks. After thats they practised a lot in Future Form (will) and did a 

lot of grammar execises connecting with the topic. At the end of the 

lesson students played games "Lets have a party"and "Saymons says".

English Mafia Party

Mykolaiv Window on America Center had the English Mafia Party on the 29th of May with our good American friend and volunteer Thomas R.

English Class for Beginners!

Mykolaiv Window on America Center had the English Class for Beginners on the 29th of May. 

At the begining of the lesson our students told and read their 
composition "My summer holidays" or "My plans on summer holidays"

and checked their hometask. 
After that they studied Comparationsdegrees of Ajectives and did 

lots of grammar execises. At the end of the lesson students played
 games "5 words" and "Opposite words".

English Book Club

Mykolaiv Window on America Center had the English Book Club with a Peace Corps volunteer Melanie Graham on the 28th of May. Our participants  dizcussed the book "Here There be are tigers" by American writer Ray Bradbury. 

"Here There Be Tygers" originally published in the anthology New Tales of Space and Time in 1951. It was later collected in Bradbury's short story collections R is for Rocket and The Golden Apples of the Sun. It deals with a  rocket expedition sent to a planet to see whether or not its natural resources can be harvested for the human race. They discover a paradise which seems to provide for them whatever they desire even as they think of it. They ultimately decide to leave the planet and report that it is hostile and of no benefit to humans.

English Speaking Club

Mykolaiv Window on America Center had the English Speaking Club the оn the 28th of May.
The topic was "Stand-Up" with our volunteer Alina D.
Today our visitors have discussed humor in general, different features of stand-up perfomances, how they develop in Ukraine and the US. 
Also they thought about things that can and can't be joked, watched some outstanding examples of satire.

15  people took part in this English Speaking Club.

At the begining of the lesson our students told  how they spent 

weekend and  checked their hometasks. 

After that they watched and discussed 3 short videos "Royal newlyweds gift their flowers to a special place", "Dog Retirement Home" and "Unicycle Football".

Also our participants played "5 Words", "Opposite words What would you like to know".
